Paladin: turn incoming hits into damage
In Whiter’s Protection Paladin explanation at 6:59, Holy Shield damages attackers. He combines it with damage reduction and equipment that heals the character, then reports clearing Elwynn Forest.
- Core spell: Holy Shield. Choose its upgrades when offered.
- Talent direction: Protection, matching the recorded retaliation plan. Read the current tree rather than copying a WoW Classic allocation.
- Supporting equipment: damage reduction and healing effects. The source gives effects, not a mandatory named permanent set.
- Play loop: sustain through incoming hits while retaliation contributes damage. Still move away from damage your current health cannot absorb.
The V0.90.0 class menu starts Paladin with Consecration, so Holy Shield is a direction to build toward, not a spell this guide assumes you possess at level one. If it is not offered, the exact retaliation setup is not assembled; keep using the offered damage and survival improvements rather than pretending the combination is complete.
The Paladin guide adds directly inspected Protection effects and prerequisites. Ardent Defender changes the start of a run to Hammer of Justice, so compare the permanent talent state as well as the temporary spell choices.
Hunter: lifesteal, cooldowns, then damage
Sigmun’s Hunter recording gives a clear order in its description: obtain a lifesteal ring or amulet, then a cooldown trinket, then focus on damage. A cooldown ring is the stated substitute when the trinket does not appear.
The run uses a Marksman direction with Aimed Shot. Near 59:30, the creator specifically recommends progressing down Marksman to Kill Shot. This late-run example has substantial talents and permanent gear; it is not a starting-account recipe for the damage in the video title.
- Use a fresh Hunter’s starting Auto Shot while building your run’s offered spell pool.
- Take the lifesteal effect when offered on a ring or amulet.
- Add cooldown reduction, using the ring alternative if needed.
- Improve the damage spells the run actually offers, with Aimed Shot central to this example.
The creator mentions an experience trinket as something he has not tried. It is not presented here as an established substitute.
The current Marksmanship tooltip reference confirms the Kill Shot prerequisite chain and its Aimed Shot starting-spell change. That is an important difference between the recorded developed Hunter and a fresh character.
Adapt without importing another build’s assumptions
Both examples depend on random offers. Keep the supported interaction in mind—retaliation plus sustain for Paladin, or repeat ranged attacks plus sustain for Hunter—rather than reserving every choice for an item that has not appeared.
Check your permanent gear separately from run jewellery, and read the current talent prerequisites before allocating. Neither a video’s total DPS nor a class description establishes which class is strongest at equal investment.
